Financial Economics, Financial Policy, Risk Sharing
Current Position:
Professor of Finance at HU Berlin
CV & Detailed Research Interests:
I received my "Habilitation" in the year 2007 at the University of Vienna. From 2007 to 2011, I taught at MIT's Sloan School of Management, and at Vienna's Institute for Advanced Studies.
In my academic research, I work on financial economics, with a focus on real effects of financial policy. Most of my current empirical research is based on data about a large panel of entrepreneurial firms, their markets, banks, etc. I analyze the entrepreneurs' risk- and ambiguity attitudes, and the effects of risk and leverage on the firms' performance and operations.
